Le Clos Bellane

The estate, situated at an altitude of 410 meters, offers an exceptional panoramic view of Ventoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail. It spans 60 hectares, with 48 hectares of vineyards facing East and Southeast.
In the reds, Grenache predominates, complemented by Syrah, while Roussanne, Marsanne, and Viognier share the roles in the whites.

The Soul

The fabulous terroir of Clos Bellane has expanded since 2011 with the acquisition of 1.14 hectares of vines in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, on Urgonian soils, and in 2020 with 9 hectares in Vinsobres, located on the high slopes of the appellation. This enables the estate to produce wines with varied organoleptic characteristics.

This ensures an annual temperature conducive to the slow maceration of the berries, guaranteeing elegance and delicate notes.

Higher up!

With its 400 meters of altitude, it provides more freshness in summer, benefiting both the soil and the plants.

Facing East

To ensure softer morning sun than evening sun and thus slow down excessive evaporation that concentrates alcohol.

The wine aging process is tailored, depending on the vintage and the wine’s texture, using Burgundian barrels, demi-muids, or concrete vats. The fabulous limestone terroir and semi-underground cellars, conducive to patient work towards elegance and finesse, allow us to refine our aging processes and store our wines in bottles without air conditioning.

A constant temperature throughout the year ensures a serene evolution, respecting our juices and the discerning palates of fine wine enthusiasts.

The craftsmanship

Respecting the grape’s integrity allows fermentation to proceed gently. Rigorous sorting ensures the selection of the best harvest. The winery is designed with a gravity-flow principle to preserve the integrity of the grapes during processing.

The winery is equipped with modern and high-performance equipment that combines cutting-edge technology with the irreplaceable presence of human touch: thermoregulated concrete and stainless steel vats, Burgundian-style punching down, and low-pressure pneumatic press.
