« Première Côte »
Appellation : AOP Côtes du Rhône
Terroir : Our Premières Côtes, mostly around Courthézon, extend to the foothills of the Dentelles de Montmirail. The vineyard revolves around a large clay-limestone diluvium, mixing large pebbles with matrices of stones and gravel on different exposures (south, southwest, northeast). The dominant Mistral wind allows for a reasoned approach to vine growing, with an average vine age of around 50 years. The planting is mainly composed of Grenache, with some scattered parcels of Syrah and Mourvèdre. Première Côte finds its origins in these vines, which represented the highest quality wines available in the village market. This wine is natural and unfiltered, and sediment may form, ensuring our artisanal and respectful work.
GRAPE VARIETIES
: 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre
With a beautiful deep crimson color, Première Côte reveals aromas of spices, undergrowth, and ripe red fruits. The attack is ample and harmonious, with a balanced middle palate reflecting the volume and freshness of the soils, and wrapped tannins.
