OUR WINES
Nos Granites Ciselés
AOP Crozes-Hermitage
Marsanne, aged 30 to 110 years
High-altitude granites from the northern part of the appellation, partially covered with loess.
Light skin maceration depending on maturity. Lees kept fine for 3 months. No fining.
A crystalline and mineral halo immediately defines the contours of this cuvée. Roasted hazelnuts wrapped in beeswax, white mint, a touch of chalk reminiscent of Champagne, a hint of redcurrant after aeration, and a shadow of white truffle on the finish interlace… The palate effortlessly glides from the northern Rhône to the great appellations of Burgundy. This sensation is confirmed by an improbable sensory paradox rarely found in the wine world: a broad granitic base that is distinctly northern Crozes-Hermitage and a sharp, intense mineral elevation in the final third. This symbiosis beautifully illustrates what a century-old vineyard on granite soil in the northern region at over 300 meters altitude can offer. The complex impression left on the palate will likely redefine your standards for our appellation, lingering for long seconds with caudalies that reflect, through a measured aging process and youth without fining, our ultimate quest for balance through complex nuances and harmony.
